About Disco

Hi my name is Disco. I'm about 5 months old (2/2/20) and my foster parents tell me that I am the most handsome little guy they've ever seen! Need someone to listen to your day? I'm your guy! Need someone easy going and drama free? I'm your guy! I enjoy toys, running around the house, playing with other cats (including my brother Mousy) and taking kitten naps in cat trees. I'm told I am a very easy going kitten, I'm tidy, quiet and I don't ask for much attention, I'm just happy to hang out and keep you company. I hope you will consider me, I promise to be a very polite family member!

Ivy and Fern- These 2 beautiful Lynx Point Siamese sisters (about 2 years old) ended up in a shelter in AL when their owner moved and couldn't take them with. They spent 4 months there waiting for a new home before arriving at their Underdog foster home in early February. Both are affectionate, social and pretty laid back. They love to chase fishing pole toys, climb their scratching post, bat at glitter balls and mainly just relax and look out the window.  New noises do scare them a bit- so a home without young kids would make them the happiest.   Their gorgeous long coats (Fern was shaved down at the shelter due to having a lot of mats) will require brushing and a dedicated owner who will do this on a regular basis. Previous experience with a long- haired cat would be a plus for them.    Fern and Ivy are good buddies who have gone though a lot together.  They have never known life apart.  For this reason, we are looking for a great home for them together!  Does your heart and home have a spot for these pretty girls?   Interested in this sweet cat? Meet JJ (Joan Jett)! JJ is about 5-months-old (DOB 9/15) and 25-pounds. Her mom was a small Australian Shepherd who had to have an emergency C-section, because Dad was a BIG Chocolate Lab. She is super-socialized and good with men, women, other dogs, cats, and kids. She has always lived inside and knows how to be a part of a family. She is crate-trained and doing great with housetraining.  She is doing great with Sit and is working on Off, Shake and Down.  For such a young pup she is not a nibbler at all and she takes treats very gently.  She doesn't want to miss a thing and is constantly by your side. She is a busy little girl! Her ears stick up and are controlled like an Aussie. She has a gorgeous "bib" on her chest. JJ doesn't want to miss a thing!  She is a snuggle bug one minute and will jump up to play with the resident dogs the next.  She is good with dogs and kids, not interested in cats. She loves to be by her foster mom and loves to great everyone she meets.   If you are looking for a loyal friend to go on long walks and enjoy snuggles on the couch, JJ is your girl. Meet Livie! Livie is a soft-coated, beautiful, and gentle girl who we estimate to be about 1-year-old and 40-pounds. She is a special girl who survived abuse, is visually impaired (but definitely can see), and is a little uncoordinated/wobbly with her movements. She adapts well, once she is settled in, and loves to be near you inside and go on outdoor adventures. Livie is a â follower and gains confidence by being around other dogs. Her best fit is in a home with another dog. She's very sweet, loves children (older ones) and is cautious but friendly with new people. She's also crate-trained! We are working hard on house-training and she is getting the hang of that. Livie has spent months in an outdoor shelter, so we can't wait to find her a forever home where she will be pampered and loved! Livie’s contagious happiness is a joy. She is the perfect size and temperament for many kinds of families and needs a happy ending to her rescue story! Interested in this sweet dog? Lola is a 3yr old shepherd mix. She is indeed beautiful, but her beauty runs deeper than just her looks. Her kind brown eyes and calm demeanor are ones that will steal your heart in seconds. She is stoic, gentle, nurturing, regal, and confident. She is true to her shepherd nature in that she is very observant of her surroundings and will make you feel quite safe. She approaches new people and new things cautiously and aware. She will quickly deem you to be ok and then ask for chin and chest scratches, but there is a period of time where she is checking you out for seal of approval. Her favorite home activities are lounging around and chewing on bones. Her special talent is blowing bubbles with her nose as she bobs for ice cubes in her water.     Behavioral (Super Star): She is housetrained and crate trained - very quiet in her crate. She's good with dogs of all sizes, but isn't super keen on sharing her bones with others and she thinks cats are chew toys, so no cats please . She shows zero aggression towards humans and is fine with us taking her beloved toys and bones away. She takes treats very gentle and never jumps up on people, so very polite! She thoroughly enjoys walks and is an incredible loose leash walker (we have encountered bikes, buses, loud noises, other people, dogs, etc without any issues).  She rides very well in cars and lays down the entireShe is really a sweet girl and deserves nothing but the best.    Medical (Warrior): Lola came to Wisconsin in pretty rough shape - way too skinny (only 44lbs for a dog that should be 70lbs), lethargic, heartworm positive, and ehrlichiosis positive. She has already started treatment for both heartworm & ehrlichiosis and is being taken care of by our amazing vet team. Her treatment takes about 2months, but if you're looking to add her to your home immediately, she can finish treatment through our foster-to-adopt program (Wisconsin residents only).  Our vet care takes care of everything medical during those 2 months and you get precious Lola in your house! Win win.  Update 2/10/20 - Lola unfortunately tested positive for heartworm disease. She got this by being bitten by an infected mosquito. She is not contagious to other dogs (but all dogs should be on heartworm prevention monthly, year-round to prevent infection/reinfection). Underdog has started Lola on treatment for heartworm, and with proper after-care, he will fully recover. Her adopter will simply need to bring Lola to scheduled treatment appointments and keep her CALM (with strict crate rest or supervised relaxation) post treatment injections (for 2-3 months). We provide adopters with instructions and will cover needed meds. Dogs who are treated for heartworm have a positive likelihood of recovery when post-treatment instructions and rest are followed.
