You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Young Bodhi walked away from a full-ride scholarship to Stanford to become an angel investor in Pet Tech. He's a wearables guy. We hear there's a stealth start up working on bionic opposable thumbs. His loves Johnny Cash, and can't stand the sound of squeaking styrofoam. His pet peeves are "fake treats" and "fake fetch."

Prior to finding his passion for Pet Tech, Bodhi did a stint at the shelter. It was a ruff time for him. But his stay there gave him a chance to get back on his feet. Though he's still not talking, we think Bodhi had a family who abandoned him to fend for himself. But he doesn't let that get him down. He loves people, playtime with his human foster brothers, and practicing obedience training. He's a great running buddy, a cuddly couch potato, and the perfect playmate for kids. And, he's wicked smart -- teach the dog and he will come!

In his foster home, mom, dad, and three boys are his leaders. He's been trained before -- he sits, lays down, and stays like a champ. A young and excitable dude, Bodhi will do best with an active family who can offer lots of stimulation--exercise, playtime, training, and even brain games. He loves it all.

Stay tuned for bionic opposable thumbs. Until then, Bodhi's asked us for help finding his dream home. We know just the place ... *wink*.

Bodhi's fixed, chipped, and vaccinated. His tax-deductible adoption fee is $250.

Shelter Description

A Northern California nonprofit founded in 1971, St. Francis Animal Protection Society (SFAPS) is there for at-risk animals -- from shelter pets and strays to cat colonies and animals who need a new place to call home. We advocate, educate, and rescue.

As a community-run organization, our work is funded entirely through charitable donations. We focus on dogs and cats at highest risk, regardless of age, breed, or medical condition. And we do what it takes at all costs -- whether that means medical testing, treatment, and training or compassion, care, and companionship. Because we believe every animal deserves to live a happy, healthy life.

Shelter Driving Directions

We don't have a physical facility -- all our adoptable animals are living the good life in foster homes with people to pamper them until they make a love connection.
