Lexie is one of 3 in a litter of the cutest, curliest little poodle puppies you have ever seen. Lexie's mama Queenie was rescued from a puppy mill/backyard breeder, she was pregnant when we got her. Not long after she gave birth to 3 sweet babies...Callie (has been pre-adopted), Lexie and Ethan.
They are happy, healthy little bundles of joy. The love to snuggle and play... run all over and are very talkative. They will be 8 weeks old on July 1st and can be pre-adopted at this time. We ask that you submit an application before meeting the puppies, once the phone interview is done we will schedule the homecheck and go ahead and do the meet and greet. At that time you can put down a deposit of $50 and choose your puppy to pick up July 1st.
Our adoption fee is $225 for puppies under 6 months old. They will be up to date on vaccinations as of their adoption, but they'll need additional boosters later. We wait until 6 months of age to spay/neuter puppies, because getting them fixed too early can cause more medical problems long term. What we do is called a provisional adoption, which means you can take the puppy home at 8 weeks, but we don't actually finalize the adoption until they are spayed/neutered later. You can get a free spay/neuter at First Coast No More Homeless Pets, or you're welcome to go to the vet of your choice at your own expense. Once they're spayed/neutered, then we finalize the adoption and everything is official.
If you're interested in adopting a puppy and would like to meet him or her, please submit the Adoption Application from our web site at:

Florida Urgent Rescue Inc
Our mission is to dramatically improve the lives of shelter and rescue animals, to assist in urgent rescue situations and to implement resources to help in the aid of these animals. We rescue from death row at high kill shelters and help them have happy lives in their furever homes.
Shelter Driving Directions
Please note: We are not a shelter. We do not have a kennel or facility that you can visit and see all the Animals. Each Animal is fostered in an individual home. So, you cannot come visit our animals until you have gone through the application and brief phone interview process and then we will schedule a meet and greet with the animal and their foster parents. Then the next step would be a 1 week sleepover, so before finalizing we can all make sure it's a perfect fit. We are all volunteers and do this in our spare time, we do not have set "hours" and we answer all calls and emails as quickly as we can. Thank you so much for your interest in our FUR Babies!
We rescue animals in Northeast Florida, including Putnam County, Bradford County, Clay County, St. Johns County and Duval County.
We require a written application, references and a home check prior to adoption. If you're interested in a foster-to-adopt, we are very flexible.
