AdoptCHARLEE- Houston

Meet Charlee.  Charlee is a happy go lucky girl, nothing seems to phase her.  She's doing well with her foster siblings, but she'd also be fine as an only dog.  Charlee is a bit overweight, she's a small girl and should weigh closer to 55 pounds.  Daily walks and a consistent, appropriate diet and she'll get back to a healthy weight soon.

Charlee has a lot of energy and is working hard on her self-control.  She's been a little itchy, so we suspect she has an allergy to something.   She's enjoying getting daily walks with her foster siblings, and she walks well with a pinch collar.  She has not had a single accident in the house and is now perfectly crate trained.  She is used to being home alone all day, and settles quickly in her crate.  She does bark when her foster parents come home, so an apartment might not be a good fit for her.  Charlee is a super easy dog, and will make a great addition to a lucky family!

Shelter Description

WEIMARANER RESCUE of North Texas, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501-C-3, non-profit, charitable organization.

Since 1989, our small group of volunteers has saved over 1,600 Weimaraners from suffering and death. We exist solely on donations and fund raising efforts. Every penny of our proceeds pay for veterinary care, food, boarding and essential expenses. WRNT began as the Rescue Committee of the Lone Star Weimaraner Club, Inc. (formerly North Texas Weimaraner Club). In 1997 WRNT incorporated and was granted 501-C-3 status by the I.R.S., enabling tax deductible donations to our rescue fund.

OUR MISSION is the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of Weimaraners from animal shelters, found stray, abandoned, neglected and abused. We educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and promote spay/neuter. We are dedicated to end the tragedy of pet over-population by opposing puppy mills, pet stores selling live animals, and irresponsible over-breeding of companion animals.
