About

Hello all! My name is Bella and I have a few things to tell ya. First off, if you can''t tell, my favorite color is blue and I wear it everyday. Lots have people have told me I''m a good girl and have used words like cute, stoic, beautiful, cuddly, calm, funny, sweet and easy (going) to describe me.

I prefer being in the same room as my owner at all times. I don''t need to be all up in your business, just hang out and play with my toys while you relax and know you''re there. I''m good at letting you know when I have to go potty and promise to not destroy your house when you''re gone. I don''t mind being in a crate and am easy to walk on a leash.

You should adopt me if you''re looking for a laid back companion dog that generally only barks when I need to let you know someone is at the house, and is confident and independent in themselves to be content just chilling (but won''t turn down a good snuggle session either). If you want to meet me, email my foster mom (hairicamason@yahoo.com) or ClassicCaninesATX@yahoo.com

Shelter Description

Austin Animal Center is the largest open-intake animal shelter in central Texas and we work very hard to try to save 90% or more of the thousands of animals we shelter every year. We always need volunteers and both monetary and in-kind donations to help us in our sheltering and prevention activities. Visit our website to find out how you can help!

Shelter Driving Directions

The Austin Animal Center is open for adoptions every day from 11:00am to 7:00pm. We're closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Thanksgiving Day to give our staff some time with family.
Interested adopters should come to the shelter during business hours to meet with a counselor start looking for a pet who'll be a good fit. Our counselors and volunteers are happy to help with that process.

Areas Served

Austin and unincorporated Travis County, but will happily adopt to qualified folks from other communities.

Adoption Instructions

Our standard Adoption fee for healthy, younger pets is $75. Pets over 5 years old have no adoption fee. Adoption includes a microchip and collar & tags, all the vaccinations a pet is old enough to receive, and spay or neuter surgery.
Adopters must be at least 18 yrs old with a current photo ID. Pets already in the home should have a current rabies vaccination and we may need to confirm permission for adoption from the owner of the property where an adopter lives.
